                                                                   is a space of possibilities.

A space dedicated to the exploration and expression of movement through various artistic, physical, and visual practices.

The company Les Oiseaux Perchés (The Perched Birds) was founded in Marseille in 2021, led by choreographer and dancer Julien Rossin, and joined in 2023 by Luah Marques.

True to their name, they observe the world from an unconventional perspective, between sky and earth, to reveal its hidden poetry.

The company invents languages where contemporary dance blends with hip-hop, circus arts, and visual arts. Their creations are born as much in theaters as in public spaces, on facades, beams, or in the heart of abandoned sites. They shift our perspective and invite us to see what surrounds us in a different light.

Between flight and fall, vulnerability and power, Les Oiseaux Perchés raise universal questions: how to inhabit one's body, how to be together, how to connect with others. Their performances are infused with this shared energy that makes movement a sensitive and collective experience.

Through their program Let's Fly Little Birds, the company opens its wings to everyone: children, amateurs, professionals, students, and people with disabilities. These workshops nourish the creative process and transform each encounter into a space of transmission and sharing.

Whether it's dancing on a wall, creating an intimate duet, or bringing together a festival (Zone d'Occupation Mouvementée), Les Oiseaux Perchés invent spaces where art becomes a bridge – poetic, inclusive, and vibrant.

co-director

Originally from Marseille, I am a multidisciplinary artist and contemporary/hip-hop choreographer. I trained in Barcelona with Anna Sanchez and have developed various collaborations with companies such as Nadine Gerspacher, Erre que Erre, Sharon Fridman, Cobosmika, RIFT, Joules, and Cirque du Soleil.

I co-created the duets Efil and Aura with Arias Fernandez and Aina Lanas, both of which have been presented at numerous festivals in Europe in recent years, as well as the mapping/magic performances Luminaissance and Diversity with Marc Dossetto.

I also undertake various projects focused on transmission, particularly with young deaf people (Impulso del silencio), in social centers in Marseille, and through the "Let's Fly Little Birds" movement workshops, open to everyone. I also have the opportunity to lead several creative workshops in Marseille-based organizations (KLAP Maison pour la Danse, Festival de Marseille) for school groups.

In 2018, I received the "Kalypso" choreography prize from the CCN Créteil (Cie Kafig) and the "Young Choreography Boost" award from the Maison de la Danse in Lyon for my first creation, Perception, a hip-hop/contemporary dance quintet.

Finally, in 2021, I met Cécile in Marseille, and together we began writing a new show: S'Enembra. (Premiere February 2023)
